Bright Breaks Is Even More Accessible With The Opening of New Vancouver Studio

Poor well-being costs employers hundreds of thousands of dollars in healthcare costs annually. Research shows that people with poor well-being are 64% more likely to have one or more disease conditions. (1)

This leads to a 37% increase in healthcare costs per person – not including the added costs of absenteeism and “presenteeism”, or logging in to work to avoid losing wages but performing below par. (1)

Bright Breaks is tackling the well-being crisis and improving the complete health of employees across the globe. Their subscription product, called Bright Pass, allows members to access hundreds of live well-being classes every week from anywhere they’re connected.

Over the summer, they made their world-class content even more accessible with the opening of their new Vancouver studio. Their new studio officially opened in August 2021.

Bright Breaks Is Even More Accessible and Convenient

With the opening of Bright Breaks’ new studio, members now have more available class times along with access to a wider variety of well-being content which includes:

  • Yoga
  • Meditation and mindfulness
  • Fitness
  • Nutrition and cooking
  • Expert-led keynotes on finance, sleep, and more

Bright Breaks members can access 18 hours of live well-being content per weekday and live yoga, fitness, and mindfulness classes on the weekend. This expansion improves accessibility and convenience for all their members. But in particular, their North American West Coast members now have more class options in their time zone.

With the opening of their Vancouver studio, they’ve also hired new team members and educators to facilitate the recently-added classes. This includes Jackie Sallee and Katie Yantha.

Jackie is a fitness instructor with over 10 years of experience leading group fitness, hatha yoga, indoor cycling, and personal training. While Katie has an extensive background in dance and is trained to lead trauma-sensitive yoga and meditation. Bright Breaks plans to continue to hire more team members in the coming months.

“Working with Bright Breaks has been awesome and Bright Breaks has created a spark in many lives on our team. One of our team members recently mentioned he’s in the best shape of his life thanks to Bright Breaks and another shared the positive impact Bright Breaks has had on her well-being during a team-wide call recently. – Bright Breaks Champion

Bright Breaks’ Expands Their Outreach With Connection in Mind

Not only is Bright Breaks expanding their content but they’re also improving the quality of their content. They’re upgrading their video streaming quality to further improve the user experience and connection. Now that many people are working remotely either permanently or semi-permanently, employers need to rethink how they encourage connection between colleagues. Connection matters because it: (2)

  • Drives collaboration
  • Nurtures healthy working relationships
  • Promotes knowledge sharing
  • Increases engagement

With Bright Breaks’ live classes, employees are able to connect and interact with each other from anywhere in a way that’s not possible with prerecorded classes.

Bright Breaks will continue to strengthen relationships between teammates by improving how they connect. Their latest initiative is with a social feed in their mobile app where members can view a curated schedule of classes that their colleagues are taking each day. From there, they can easily join them. Bright Breaks launched this feature this month for all members.

Bright Breaks is also hosting interactive challenges and quests for members every month. Their last quest – “Return to Well-Being” – started September 13th and encouraged members to connect with their teammates while they reintegrated well-being into their routine. Members earned a Starbucks gift card for completing tasks such as trying a new class or instructor and inviting their colleagues to attend classes with them.

Bright Breaks plans to continue to expand and improve their well-being content to meet their mission to prioritize employee well-being. This will create a future of healthier professionals that have the energy they need to do their best work.
