We can have that conversation with each other because we\u2019ve put in the work to build that trust and there is an expectation of transparency. It\u2019s a beautiful thing when you have that open trusting relationship so that you can have those conversations.\u201d<\/p><p>As employee well-being is one of their core values, League Data has in place in addition to Bright\u00a0Breaks:<\/p><ul><li>An annual monetary wellness benefit to spend on anything employees feel support their wellness,<\/li><li>A flexible, trust-based work schedule<\/li><\/ul><p>\u201cWe\u2019re a tech company, but we consider ourselves a people first company. Our core belief is that if our employees are well and at their best, then League Data will be at its best.\u201d<\/p><h2>\u00a0<\/h2><h2>Learning to Engage as a Team Virtually<\/h2><p>Marsha describes League Data as a tight knit group that felt disconnected at the beginning of the pandemic. Being a mostly office-based work environment before, this called for learning new ways to feel like a team while they were apart.<\/p><h3>Weekly Team Zoom Chats<\/h3><p>One way League Data stays connected is a team chat every Thursday, called KAT (Kick A** Team!) chats. \u00a0Conversations range from business, strategy and also just a time to connect.<\/p><p>\u201cOne thing that our staff really respond to is breakout rooms. We noticed that when we had staff meetings and all of us were on the tiles, a question would be asked and there would be just crickets, silence.\u201d Shares Marsha, \u201cSo, we started using breakout rooms and everybody just seemed to start opening up.\u201d<\/p><p>League Data dedicates time in their KAT chats to check in on their team to ask what everyone is doing for fun and what they\u2019re doing for their own well-being. \u201cEveryone just opens up and shares, it\u2019s really nice.\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cI also use that time on the weekly KAT chats to promote Bright\u00a0Breaks.\u201d adds Marsha, \u201cWe\u2019re all there in one place, so I check ahead of time what\u2019s happening on Bright\u00a0Breaks\u00a0and if there\u2019s things on Bright\u00a0Breaks\u00a0that our crew would benefit from, I talk about it there. It helps.\u201d<\/p><h2>\u00a0<\/h2><h2>Maintaining Consistently High Employee Engagement with Bright Breaks<\/h2><p>League Data is consistently in the top 20% of customers when it comes to percentage of employees taking breaks on Bright\u00a0Breaks. It\u2019s normal and expected for engagement to ebb and flow, and League Data has stayed between the range of 22% and 78% since their Bright\u00a0Breaks\u00a0launch at the beginning of April 2022.<\/p><h3>Employee Onboarding<\/h3><p>When asked how her team maintains high engagement she shared it starts with employee onboarding.<\/p><p>\u201cWe have a robust employee onboarding process and weave Bright Breaks into it.\u201d Marsha shares. They love that they\u2019ve selected an employer that gives them the opportunity and encourages them to take advantage of breaks to support their wellness.\u201d<\/p><h3>Making Use of Provided Bright Champion Resources<\/h3><div>Marsha also uses the scripts, images and other resources developed by Bright\u00a0Breaks\u00a0for champions to use to promote the platform to the rest of the company every month.<\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><p>\u201cI find them very valuable and I\u2019m very grateful that I don\u2019t have to create them. When they become available to me, I use our email scheduling option, select the content that I want to use that will resonate with our people, and I schedule all the emails to go out. It takes me half an hour and then I don\u2019t have to think about it anymore.\u201d<\/p><h3>Updating Employee Portal<\/h3><p>League Data\u2019s employee portal is where the team goes to find out the latest news in the company. Working Hybrid remote, we were lonely. We had to make opportunities to connect and Bright\u00a0Breaks\u00a0really helps us with that.<\/p><p>\u201cIt\u2019s so fun, you get in a class (break), to see a peer from another province, you can wave \u2018hi\u2019.\u201d Marsha says while describing how much her team loves seeing each other in Bright Breaks.<\/p><h2>\u00a0<\/h2><h2>Marsha\u2019s One Main Tip for Engaging Her Team on Bright<\/h2><p>\u201cBe Authentic.
